Wide screen resolutions extremely popular. Almost one third of internet users is using a wide screen according to OneStat.com
Amsterdam - September 30, 2008 - OneStat.com ( www.onestat.com ),the number one provider of real-time intelligence web analytics, today reported that already one third of the internet users is using a wide screen resolution to view websites.
Of all internet surfers, one third is using a wide screen monitor and two third is using a normal screen resolution.
Of all screen resolutions, the most popular screen resolution is 1024 x 768 pixels with 40 percent. The screen resolution 800 x 600 is only used by 4 percent of all internet surfers. This result has important implications for web site designers because most web sites are designed for a screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels.
